How To Connect Hisense TV To Alexa?

Alexa works with Hisense TVs having the VIDAA 4 version. You can set up Alexa only on Hisense TVs that have ‘Alexa Voice Control’ in the ‘System’ settings. So, before establishing a connection with Alexa, ensure your TV is compatible with this feature.

Some of the Hisense TV models have built-in Alexa. You can use a voice remote or RemoteNow app on your smartphone to control your TV with your voice. Both methods are described below!  

Through Voice/Bluetooth Remote

Note: If you don’t have an Amazon account, create one. Also, you must be signed in to your VIDAA account.

  • Go to ‘Settings
  • Open ‘System
  • Click on ‘Voice Service
  • Turn on the ‘Amazon Alexa Service
  • Select ‘Amazon Alexa Service Setup’ and go to ‘Setup Now
  • With your phone, scan the QR code appearing on your TV screen.
  • A web page will appear on your TV screen, Sign In to your Amazon account.
  • Select a name for your TV and enter the code that appears on your TV.
  • Select ‘Authorize’ and choose your preferred language.
  • Amazon Alexa is now ready to be used.
  • With the help of Bluetooth remote control you can interact with Alexa with your voice commands. Press and hold the menu button to pair it with your TV, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Through RemoteNow App

The RemoteNow App is a free application that is compatible with the Hisense Roku TVs. You can download and install this app on your Android or iOS smartphone and control your TV with your voice commands. Or, you can also use the Alexa app.

Hisense TVs without Built-in Alexa

Not all Hisense smart TVs have built-in Alexa. These can be connected to third-party Alexa devices like Dot, Echo, Show, etc. Following is the step-by-step guide for setting up your Hisense TV with these devices. 

Setting up Hisense TV to Amazon Alexa Device 

  • Power on your Hisense TV and Alexa device.
  • Go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘System’ -> ‘Amazon Alexa’ -> and turn on the ‘Voice Service Control
  • Now go to the ‘Voice Service Setup’ and click on ‘Setup Now.’

Creating HisenseCloud Account

  • As soon as the activation code appears on the screen, open https://mytv.hisense.com/ on your computer or mobile phone
  • Create a Hisense Account’ -> enter an email address and password -> and enter the activation code shown on your TV screen.
  • Give your TV a name, and you will see an instruction screen, ‘Setup in Alexa App.’ Follow the instructions either on your phone or computer. 

Signing In to Alexa on Your Mobile Phone

  • Download and install the Amazon Alexa app on your phone or computer
  • Open the app -> sign in to your Amazon account -> on the top left corner, you will see three dots, click it.
  • From the drop-down window, select ‘Skills.’
  • In the search bar, write ‘Hisense Smart TV
  • From the options, select and ‘Enable’ Hisense Smart TV

Signing in to Alexa on Your Computer

  • At the same time, on your computer, go to www.amazon.com
  • Log In to your account and click on the ‘Departments’ menu
  • Highlight ‘Echo & Alexa’ and select ‘Alexa Skills’ from the extended menu
  • On the Alexa Skills page, search for Hisense Smart TV
  • From the results, choose ‘Hisense Smart TV’ and click ‘Enable.’
  • After enabling the skill, click ‘Done’ on your TV 
  • Alexa is all set to be used. Click ‘Done’ again on the next screen and enjoy!
