How to Magnify Screen on TCL TV [All Models]

You can magnify the screen on your TCL TV by adjusting the picture size or aspect ratio. In modern TVs the aspect ratio is usually set to 16:9, by default. If the aspect ratio of the displayed content is different from your TV’s settings, you will see black bars on the sides of the screen. For such a situation, you need to adjust the picture size.

You can also magnify the screen on a TCL Smart TV without a remote.

  • Locate the physical buttons present at the bottom or side of your TCL TV. Press the Menu button to open the Settings
  • By using the arrow keys, go to ‘Picture Size’, ‘Display Settings’, ‘Aspect Ratio’, or ‘Zoom’, whichever option is available on your TV menu.
  • Adjust the settings to increase picture size.

Check Source Device

Sometimes, the source device and your TCL TV are not compatible with each other. For example, if you are using an older version of a gaming console, its signals may not be compatible with the latest TCL TV’s aspect ratio.

In such cases, you can either try to adjust picture settings on your source device, or try to change the device with a compatible one.

In contrast to the older versions, modern TCL TVs allow you to magnify the content significantly without picture or color distortion. However, there might be certain limitations if the content you are watching does not have enough resolution. Too much magnification may result in pixelation.
